hello 2010
It's my first post for the year 2010 and yes, i am not really a blogger sort of person. It's already April. Fool's day! What a day! it is for fools indeed! In the Philippines, today is Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter, is being commemorated when Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples. Well a lot of Filipino devotees flock together and walk hundreds of meters all the way up to somewhere. I could not make myself remember anymore where these people are supposed to make a stop. Honestly, I could not care less. As i was on my way home from Ane's office, I saw hundreds of people trudging along the Ortigas Extension road, populating the entire road like it was Mardi gras festival. All of them thinking like they were on some crusade mission to kill all those who opposed their caprices. The Pasig City government got these people's backs, definitely, since the elections are just around the corner. There were booths filled with people giving free cold drinking water to those who are tired and needed something to quench their thirst but at the same time working their malicious eyes prying on attractive women. Traffic enforcers guiding the strayed believers with building barricades between the two roads hoping they can contain all these people within one side of the road. Hell breaks loose. These people love romping on just about anything; laws, engagements, rights. What do they care about barricades if that will mean ruining their spiritual shindig? Is this the path to spiritual cleansing? One thing is for sure though, it's April's fools day.
